Representation of Théâtre Am Stram Gram – A Fabulous Initiation Journey
What a journey Peer Gynt undertakes! Through the words of Théâtre Am Stram Gram and the music of Ensemble Variante, we have discovered the play by the Norwegian author Henrik Ibsen and have been carried away by the story of this lively and mischievous boy who flees his village and sets out on an adventure. A long initiatory journey that will ultimately bring him back to the motherland, staged by Joan Mompart and narrated by Quentin Teixeira.
Before that, Melis, Amaury, Maéva, and Mipe, Cycle (lower secondary) students, explored the theme of adventurous travel, taking to the stage to declaim two texts by very different authors, echoing the main themes of the play. An excerpt from Homer’s “Odyssey”, Book IX, first, and then “La tortue et les deux canards” a heroically comedic fable by Jean de La Fontaine, questioning the importance of self-discovery.
We would like to salute their talent and commitment to our cultural season. Our thanks also go to the actors of Théâtre Am Stram Gram and the musicians of Ensemble Variante for their excellent performance, as well as the Florimont staff members who worked towards the success of this event and to our community, once again present.
