The budding dancer-performers of the Junior Ballet delivered a truly moving experience! The contemporary dance program of the Geneva Dance School made its debut at the Institut as part of our cultural season, “Encré” dans la culture.

They captivated us with two pieces from their repertoire. First, “In C,” a vibrant piece by Sasha Waltz, comprising 53 sequences of movements skillfully executed by the dancers in a fluid and dynamically alive sarabande. Then came “Cathedral” by Marcos Morau, immersing us in a world governed by science fiction machinery. Powerful imagery, complemented by the meditative and lyrical music of Arvo Pärt.

Before that, we had the pleasure of witnessing the results of the workshop led by the Ballet Junior with the 3ème Maturité students, emphasizing the essence of transmission.

It is only natural, therefore, that we extend our heartfelt thanks to the Ballet Junior for their magnificent performance, to our collaborators for their unwavering commitment to “Encré” dans la culture, a school project, and to our community, once again present. Until we meet again!
