We set out with a mission: to bring the Florimont family together to champion the arts and culture and celebrate the beauty of creation. This was the somewhat bold promise of the Institut’s cultural season, “Encré” dans la culture, whose first edition was proudly presented in 2022-2023 – and we kept our promise!
In total, more than 1,000 people attended the five events presented by our local partners and artist collaborators at the school campus. The whole community joined forces – from students and staff to parents and friends of the Institut – to make our first season a huge success.
We had the support of many volunteers along the way, such as one secondary teacher who described the cultural season as “a wonderful human experience – I can’t wait for the next one!”. Without these volunteers, the first edition would not have been possible, and we thank them sincerely.
Buoyed by the success of our first season, we are delighted to be launching our second edition on 21 September, with an eclectic programme of the highest standard: this year, we welcome Laure Marville as artist-in-residence, and will be hosting an evening of music by company Ponticello, a chamber music recital by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, a performance of contemporary dance by Ballet junior and a spectacle by theatre company Am Stram Gram – there’ll be something for all tastes and all ages.
We are looking forward to opening our doors and welcoming you in even bigger numbers for our second edition!

Our Cercle des ami.e.s is for anyone interested in supporting our whole-school arts programme, “Encré” dans la culture. Joining the Cercle, simply by making a donation (100 CHF minimum) means you are contributing to an educational project which aims to develop and influence arts and culture not just in the school but in the local and wider Geneva community.
The Cercle des ami.e.s is open to anyone who sees culture as presenting new opportunities for pupils and is an integral part of our educational mission.
Cercle des ami.e.s members can avail of VIP seating at events, as well as the usual benefits of season ticket holders.
