Is there an age for discovering classical music? The earlier the better! That’s the philosophy behind these short, interactive concerts for ‘young ears’, performed by actors and a small group of musicians from the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (OSR).

This “gentle immersion”, in the words of the OSR, enabled the children present to discover The Magic Flute in an adapted version, based on Mozart’s libretto, with an arrangement for flute and string trio.

The event, which took place on 23 September in the magnificent Florimont auditorium, available for hire, ended with a snack and a chance to try out the various instruments. It was a great way for young and old music lovers alike to share in the experience!
