L’air du large – 16/10/2025

A musical discovery to the edges of the world
When youth meets musical genius, it produces a unique, bold creation that inspires many emotions. Under the direction of Raphaël Merlin, students from Institut Florimont join the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève to perform in a concert where adventure reigns.
L’air du large pays homage to two major figures of French classical music – Rameau and Debussy. Extracts from Indes galantes are in dialogue with an adaptation of La Mer, on a poetic interplay between the Baroque period and Impressionist movement. The students guide the audience from one musical scene to the next with selected readings of literary texts.
This project is the result of an inspirational collaboration with Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, renowned for its artistic excellence and commitment to cultural mediation.

Pachamama – 22/11/2025

A brave adventure deep in the Andes
In the mountain peaks of the Andes, where nature is sacred and watched over by spirits, we hear a story about dreams, tradition and courage. Pachamama takes us on the trail of Tepulpai, a young boy determined to become shaman. When a precious statue is taken away from his village, he wastes no time in embarking on a perilous mission to bring it back. He heads for the ancient Incan capital Cuzco, passing through dangerous lands filled with savage beasts, mysterious caverns – and conquistadors.
This stirring animated film, directed by Juan Antin and produced by the creator of Kirikou, is an ode to the ancestral cultures of South America. Suitable for family audiences, this lyrical and sensitive piece reminds us about protecting traditions, the balance between humankind and nature, and the importance of standing up for the things we value.
This programme is presented in collaboration with the FILMAR Festival, celebrating Latin American cinema in Switzerland. Every year, FILMAR gives top billing to the voices, stories and imaginations of South America, and actively supports films for younger audiences with strong cultural and artistic impact.

Courir, in collaboration with the Ville de Lancy – 21/01/2026

The gripping epic about an ordinary man that has become legend
Courir (‘Running’) is far more than a story about sport. Inspired by Jean Echenoz’s novel, it is a political and human odyssey, retracing the incredible life of Czech runner Emil Zatopek, a mythical character in the world of athletics and the Olympics. He was a simple man and tireless worker who in the 1960s became the symbol of a generation for achievement, freedom – and perseverance.
In a stage performance of rare intensity, Thierry Romanens, accompanied by music trio Format A’3, brings the power of Zatopek’s story to life. With rhythm, humour, tension and the spoken word, Courir is an absorbing experience, the breathless narrative delivered against a cinematic soundtrack and rich sonic texture.
This show is presented in association with Ville de Lancy to bring culture to a wider audience.

Le Rêve du condor – concert with live illustration
Trio: viola, piano, illustrations – 07/02/2026
A concert drawn in the colours of the world
Prepare for a unique artistic experience, where music and drawing come together and take you on a voyage through the passionate rhythms of Latin America to the musical elegance of Paris. On stage are cellist Lionel Cottet, pianist Jorge Viladoms and illustrator Fabian Menor, whose exceptional talents combine to create a living, spontaneous artwork before your very eyes. The cello-piano dialogue forms a backdrop to each pencil stroke, revealing a visual narrative that prolongs each note and emotion. This illustrated concert aims to capture a moment suspended between artforms, blending virtuosity and fantasy into a form that everyone will enjoy. Appealing equally to families and curious music lovers, this is a sensory journey through real and imagined landscapes in homage to South American cultures and music.
Genevan Lionel Cottet, previously with the prestigious Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, plays first cello in the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. Winner of many international competitions (including first prize at the Académie Maurice Ravel), he is commended on the depth of his playing, sensitive interpretation and total commitment to the performance.
Jorge Viladoms, a pianist from Mexico based in Lausanne, skilfully navigates the roles of performer, teacher and philanthropist. When not lecturing at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, he performs on the world’s most prestigious stages and is active in his foundation Crescendo con la Música, making music accessible to disadvantaged children.
Fabian Menor is a young Genevan illustrator now living in Malaga who brings music to life through visual art. A graduate of HEAD Geneva, this talented artist has developed an expressive narrative style mixing visual poetry, a sense of rhythm and a vivid imagination.

Festival Antigel

Every year, the Antigel Festival bursts back onto the Genevan cultural scene with a bold programme of music, dance, performance art, sport and rare experiences. Since its inception, Antigel has nurtured the eclectic and smashed artistic boundaries, bringing together local and international talent to cast a creative and sideways look at contemporary culture in a fun, curious and decidedly wacky atmosphere.
The next edition of Antigel promises once again to break the rules, expand artistic horizons and strengthen the links between art, land and audience. The full programme will be available soon – watch this space!

Dinosaure – interactive dance performance by Compagnie D-DaL – 14/03/2026

Interactive dance performance on surviving extinction
What if the dinosaurs could have predicted their extinction? Would we understand more about the limits of our own civilisation? Dinosaure is a unique artistic work created by Santiago Codon Gras and performed by Compagnie D-daL which blurs the boundaries between contemporary fables, the popularisation of science and interactive dance performance. We see characters which are innocent dreamers, between animal ballet and physical theatre. Their reflection on the demise of the dinosaurs is a powerful metaphor for our time, in a world filled with popular references such as Jurassic Park or Fantasia. Bodies in movement collide with words, and the audience is invited to cast their eyes upwards to the birds — the last remnants of their giant ancestors — as a symbol of resilience and hope.
Dinosaure is part of a new collaboration between Florimont’s cultural programme and the Groove’N’Move Festival, a major event in the Genevan calendar celebrating street culture, dance and the contemporary arts scene.
