This week, a pilot group of 4ème students sat the oral exam for the German Language Diploma (DSD), in the presence of Ms Ibold, representative of the ZfA (Zentrale für Auslandsschulwesen), based in Paris.

This event marks the culmination of over two years of work to establish Florimont as a DSD-accredited school. It is the first school in French-speaking Switzerland, and only the second in the country, to offer this official German language certification.
The DSD I (Deutsches Sprachdiplom I), developed and awarded by the German government, is the only internationally recognised German language qualification that can be both prepared for and administered directly by a school.

It certifies an intermediate level (B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) across all four core skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing.

We are proud to have been selected for this programme and look forward to embedding the DSD certification into our German curriculum at the Cycle level on a long-term basis.
