This academic year got off to a particularly dynamic start for the Hub, with pre-term training sessions, research groups, and classroom interventions marking the beginning of a rich and engaging school year.

Integrating Digital Tools into Teaching Practices

Over 50 workshops were organised before the start of term, enabling teachers to receive training in small groups of no more than 15 participants. The goal was to develop pedagogical scenarios that incorporate digital tools into daily practice. The Hub notably supported teachers in training on Apple Teacher and key iPad applications.

Research Groups

At the start of the year, a research group was formed around the theme of artificial intelligence and multilingualism, exploring how AI can be used to better support non-French-speaking students. A second group—currently being set up—will focus on AI and assessment, looking into ways digital tools can help improve evaluation practices.

Classroom Involvement

The Innovation Hub doesn’t limit its work to supporting teachers; it is also dedicated to students:

  • Upcoming sessions in 1e and Terminales classes will introduce students to responsible and effective use of AI.
  • iPad follow-up workshops will soon begin for 6e students to help them integrate this tool into their academic work.
  • New pedagogical projects are also being developed for 5e classes.

A Role Embedded in School Life

On Languages Day, a dedicated workshop on Pages will be offered to teach students how to create podcasts—yet another example of how the school continues to integrate digital tools to serve pedagogy.

More Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing Ahead

At the same time, and in the spirit of sharing best practices, the Innovation Hub continues to encourage collaboration among teaching staff:

  • Teach Meet sessions will be rolled out from early October, providing a space for teachers to share experiences and good practices, thus strengthening collective expertise.
  • The Reading Room will also host discussions around selected educational articles, creating space for debate on key educational issues and encouraging shared reflection.

The Innovation, Development and Research Hub is more than ever asserting its role as a centre for training and collective expertise, where teachers and pupils work hand in hand to build a forward-looking pedagogy.
