Mathematics
Whether seen as a body of knowledge, a system of abstract ideas or as a tool, mathematics is everywhere.
If its presence is evident in the sciences or in information technology, it is less visible in other fields such as graphic design, architecture or music. The study of mathematics leads to a better understanding of naturel phenomena and a society in which digital technology is changing increasingly rapidly.
Through the study of mathematics, pupils develop the ability to pose and solve a problem, calculate and quantify, describe, analyse and model, conjecture, argue and demonstrate.
